RE/MAX Realty Associates is the area's premier real estate firm, consisting of around 40 licensed brokers across four office locations throughout Champaign and Piatt Counties.
The firm and its leadership are committed to providing the highest level of service to our agents and to clients, while promoting fair housing, improving minority home ownership, and cultivating an inclusive workplace.
The position is based at our flagship Champaign office.
The primary areas of responsibility involve front desk/first impression maker responsibilities as well as transaction management and closing coordination, done in seamless collaboration with a senior staff closing coordinator.
The small, flexible nature of the firm's support staff also necessitates cross-training to cover other staff positions and tasks as needed.
While no specific background or skill set is a required prerequisite—aside from basic office software and equipment—the right candidate must have strong attention to detail.
This includes the ability to prioritize—and reprioritize—tasks without forgetting or losing track of them.
This is also the sort of person who loses sleep over untied loose ends, who delights in accurate data entry, and who considers a perfectly formatted spreadsheet a great work of art.
Closing coordination generally consists of processing sales contracts, performing data entry, and coordinating availability of attorneys, lenders, title companies, and REALTORS® for closings.
Transaction coordination duties involve data entry, tracking deadlines, keeping agents operating on deadlines, coordinating inspections, collecting and tracking invoices, etc.
This position is an extension and backup of our senior closing coordinator.
QuickBooks or other bookkeeping software experience is a plus, but not required.
While the position requires working collaboratively with a wide variety of personalities, the environment can be introvert-friendly with private office space just off the front desk, so the two front desk staffers can rotate being in a quiet spot to get critical work done away from the front desk as needed.
Besides traditional front desk tasks, the job involves keeping the office kitchen area stocked and welcoming to our agents and visitors, as well as basic setup/teardown and running the dishwasher.
Regularly scheduled hours are 8-5 M-F.
