Predictive Maintenance Technician – Decatur, Illinois
This is a Non-Exempt level position.
Position Summary:
Job Responsibilities:
Perform Predictive Maintenance tasks including but not limited to vibration, ultrasound, oil, and infrared sample gathering, testing, and analysis
Complete lubrication routes as assigned daily/weekly
Monitor equipment conditions, report findings, and thoroughly document issues
Demonstrate and contribute job knowledge daily concerning area of responsibility to improve equipment availability
Communicate and work effectively with multiple departments to coordinate Predictive Maintenance work order completion
Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement
Communicate experiences and job knowledge to the appropriate departments.
Assist in the training of other colleagues
Assist with keeping lubrication inventory supplies up to date
Maintain knowledge of equipment, operations, and processes throughout the plant
Work with vendors to diagnose issues with product and determine best resolution
Maintain lube guide per equipment along with vibration analysis software
Effectively navigate through the Maximo system (CMMS) including creating work orders, entering MR’s, etc.
Troubleshoot maintenance issues throughout the facility
Use data collected to analyze equipment issues in the process
Participate in Daily Safety Toolbox Talks, Meetings, and respond to email as necessary
Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and PPE (Required PPE includes; Hard Hat, Steel Toe Boots, Eye protection, Hearing protection, gloves, and wear provided uniform daily)
Required Skills:
Able to lift and move 50lbs
Ability to ascend/descend stairways, ladders, and catwalks (some at considerable height) over the majority of your work day
Be on your feet walking/moving around over the majority of your work day
Understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, OneNote, 360, etc.
)
Able to comply with repetitive use of limbs, hands, and fine manipulation through the use of testing equipment
Ability to work in extreme temperatures fluctuations, both hot and cold
Desired Experience:
Machine Lubrication Training (MLT Certified)
Millwright background with experience in lubrication
