Production Administrative Assistant -Decatur, IL
Location: Vitamin E Plant, Decatur, IL
Position Summary:
The Production Administrative Assistant will support the Vitamin E and SFI facilities with completing weekly payroll, ordering supplies to support operations, management, and quality, and will perform clerical duties including maintaining records and documentation in an organized way.
Roles and Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll (enter vacation, absences, missed lunch punches, etc.
)
Coordinate and assist hiring managers with new hire onboarding and employee orientation.
Perform a variety of clerical duties including copying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
Order and maintain office and project supplies.
Answer incoming phone calls and front door traffic - direct to appropriate person/location.
Assist with general information for colleagues (uniforms, payroll questions, company programs, radios etc.
)
Perform back up duties during co-worker absences.
Maintain office filing system (including record retention) in paper and electronic formats; assemble and coordinate the preparation of documents.
Compile new hire training packets/materials for each training session.
Other assignments or projects as requested by any member of management.
Understand and adhere to ADM’s Safety, Environmental Compliance and Food Quality and goal of achieving a zero-injury culture.
Assist with housekeeping of administrative office and other tasks as requested by any member of management.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing)
Ability to multi-task
Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
Previous Maximo, Coupa, or CMMS experience is preferred.
Strong attendance record
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and record keeping.
Flexibility in accepting change and an attitude of continuous improvement.
Understanding of the importance of Safety
Ability to act in a professional manner and adhere by ADM’s Code of Conduct
Self-motivated with a solid work ethic.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years general office experience
