We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Decatur, Illinois.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to provide assistance to production crews in mechanical and machine maintenance, building and facilities and
associated equipment.
Task and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and carry out repairs on all mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic tools and machineries.
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machines.
Able to work with little supervision.
Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
Regularly lift and move up to 20-25 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Hearing abilities related to job assigned.
Job Requirements (e.
g.
education, experience, skills and desired competencies)
2-year technical degree in maintenance preferred.
Background in manufacturing environment with 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Forklift and Crane certification preferred.
Knowledge of PLC experience would be an asset.
A valid driver’s license.
Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.
Experience in manufacturing industries preferred.
