Director Reliability Centered Maintenance - Decatur, IL
ADM is seeking a Reliability / Maintenance practitioner and leader to provide direction in the development and implementation of tactical and strategic objectives across the our operations network .
The role has multiple priorities across our sizeable asset footprint and requires a high degree of coordination and execution among key internal stakeholders.
This position will provide leadership for the assessment and maturity-based plans for each site to move from a reactive to a proactive reliability centered maintenance model.
This role leads the Reliability and Maintenance center of excellence to ensure effectiveness in delivering improved reliability performance.
This role will be accountable for maturing the reliability organizational capability and institutionalizing it to deliver asset performance at best in class levels.
Primary Responsibilities: Maintenance & Reliability: Coach Reliability and Maintenance leads to drive towards a standardized, institutionalized and continually improving Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture at each site in the network.
Oversee the network reliability maintenance systems for facilities and assets by creating & deploying Standard Operating Procedures, metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
Develop and align with Ops leaders on asset care life cycle approach and requirements for all new asset investments, to ensure consistency from concept to operationalizing Responsible to evaluate and recommend plant capital expenditures and projects, frame up cost benefits, ensure reliability design factors are incorporated Productivity Improvements & Cost Management: Oversee the review of critical asset performance to mitigate risk and improve performance standards, operating effectiveness and efficiency.
Oversee consolidated plant maintenance reviews and KPI performance opportunities.
Evaluate maintenance improvements, operating conditions and application of technology advances Lead and oversee the development, deployment and adherence of standard practices for Work Order Management, resulting in cost improvements and delivers sustainable performance.
Optimize the site maintenance budgets, maintenance plans, long term equipment replacement plans and spare part sourcing strategies.
Strategic Direction: Develop, drive and improve the strategy for ADM’s approach to Asset Care and Reliability.
Develop and monitor multi-year improvement plan, by site, based on formal assessments of current state, prioritized by divisional strategic priorities.
Ensure deployment and adoption of the Asset Care Strategy to all sites in the network, paying attention to maturity and needs at each site and ensuring down times are minimized Ensure common approach across all plant locations for Asset Care & Reliability through standardized assessments and program development plans based on progressing and maturing through each phase.
Accountable for network Reliability targets/standards, KPI tracking, and communication.
Identify appropriate resources to ensure successful implementation and ongoing sustainability.
Manage multiple plant reliability improvement activities across the network.
Minimum Requirements: Education: University Degree with a technical discipline.
MBA preferred.
Length of experience: 15+ years of cross-functional manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of continuous, high velocity operations and Maintenance / Reliability programs.
Other: Exceptional knowledge and experience with leading / executing the elements Asset Care & Reliability and organizational learning and development.
Exceptional Working knowledge in concepts of Reliability, Predictive Maintenance, MRO management, OSHA equipment and facilities requirements, FMEA and risk analysis.
Exceptional analytical skills and business acumen.
Exceptional decision-making quality and drive for results.
Must exhibit managerial courage.
Exceptional problem-solving, communication and influencing skills- including the ability to lead change through others.
Exceptional leadership skills to inspire, engage and motivate – including the ability to paint a vision and operationalize a strategy to achieve it.
