HVAC Technician
Green Street Realty Maintenance is seeking an experienced HVAC Tech to join our team in Champaign, IL.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and be able to diagnose and repair a variety of issues.
Job Summary:
Under direction from the Maintenance Director, the HVAC technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and removal of HVAC systems from our properties.
This includes, but is not limited to, diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC issues, ordering and maintain equipment, and communicating strongly with management and customers to explain the issue and the resolution.
Must have own reliable vehicle
Valid driver’s license
Valid motor vehicle insurance
Valid vehicle registration
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, repair, and remove HVAC systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems
Order and maintain equipment
Comply with local HVAC code standards
Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
Communicate with management and customers to explain repairs and maintenance
Keep accurate records of all work performed
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC Technician
HVAC Certified
Reliable transportation and proof of licensing and insurance (see above)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk regularly; handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, lifting, and crawling will also be required; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
Work requires the ability to lift and maneuver apartment figures, HVAC and other maintenance equipment, and possibly grounds equipment.
If the weight exceeds seventy-five (75) pounds, then a fellow team member should assist.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hot or cold environments, depending on the task being completed at that time.
May also be exposed to awkward or cramped positions throughout the workday.
