Description Reporting into the President of Innovation, the VP of Enterprise Applications will provide vision, strategy, and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives.
The VP of Enterprise Applications will direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations, delivering effective technology solutions that will improve service quality and customer satisfaction, while enabling business growth and development.
This individual will have overall responsibility for all aspects of enterprise business applications, end-user computing, corporate IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities Strategy & Planning Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization as a member of the Pavlov management team.
In coordination with the President of Innovation, lead enterprise IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
Build an appropriate enterprise IT organizational structure that supports the needs of Pavlov.
Identify opportunities and develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for enterprise IT spending and initiatives across Pavlov.
Assess and communicate risks associated with enterprise IT investments.
Develop, track, and control the enterprise IT annual operating and capital budgets.
Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Establish and maintain cybersecurity standards aligned to the NIST Cybersecurity framework.
Ensure systems and processes to protect company and customer data in line with evolving data privacy regulations.
Technology Acquisition & Deployment Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
Define and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.
Operational Management Ensure continuous delivery of enterprise IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
Ensure enterprise IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
Establish lines of control for current and proposed information systems.
Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices.
Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
Support President of Innovation to promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.
Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification University degree in the field of computer science, business administration, or related field.
Master’s degree in one these fields preferred.
Knowledge & Experience 8-10 years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT operation.
Strong understanding of data structure, workflow and management.
Considerable knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, and operations.
Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems, including cloud and SaaS technology.
Good understanding of system integration, including API integration Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
Knowledge of legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements that relate to IT and cybersecurity.
Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
Relevant industry experience strongly preferred.
