Job Title: Validation Engineer
Department: Product Development Department
Reports To: Global Product Development Manager
Status: Full-Time/Exempt
Summary: Validates new products, product improvements and process changes by providing engineering support to the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages Pross Change Notification process with customer including weekly updates.
Works with customer engineering to define validation plans to validate product changes.
Manages work by developing plans and incorporating timelines.
Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
Supports Procurement and Product Development on the validation of product changes.
Supports Production Engineering on the validation of process changes.
Interfaces with others in the organization and at our customers to jointly determine customer needs and solutions.
Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software (CREO) and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Analyzes all types of data and provides reports to others for product validations.
Works in a safe manner, following all safety policies and procedures while keeping in mind other’s safety as well.
Reports any accidents and potentially unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to appropriate supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.
S.
) in Mechanical, Industrial, or General Engineering, or similar field; 3 - 7 years manufacturing/design experience as Engineer; or the combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of and experience with CREO modeling software.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Pro-Engineer (CREO), AutoCAD and SolidWorks Design software.
Pro/Engineer 3D CAD modeling experience preferred.
Microsoft Suite.
