ASST COACH, SOCIAL MEDIA FTBAL Division Intercollegiate Athletics Job Summary Design, produce and implement coordinated team and recruiting creative graphics/content across all mediums for the Football program.
Duties & Responsibilities Recruiting– • Responsible for the design and production of brand objectives for the football program in recruiting that meet the brand standards set by the athletic department and Nike.
• Strategically create and develop a year-round plan involving new designs concepts, graphics, and layouts to recruit the top student athletes to the University of Illinois.
• Work to ensure recruiting projects are completed on time and identify new projects to further enhance Illinois football recruiting efforts.
• Create and execute graphics (templated & personalized) to be sent to large quantities of prospective student-athletes.
• Develop unique ideas for content that aids in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
• Work alongside the Director of Branding to establish photo and video shoot locations and execute those shoots.
• Create recruiting graphics for official and unofficial visits prior to the arrival and after.
• Assist in maintaining a database for graphics and photos of all prospects on Box.
• Edit photos from official and unofficial recruiting visits.
• Additional recruiting projects requested by the Head Coach.
Team Branding – • Responsible for the design and production of brand objectives for the football program social media accounts that meet the brand standards set by the athletic department and Nike.
• Collaborate as a part of the design team and with all external units in DIA, with the goal of elevating and carrying the visual brand through to all forms of communication, including social media, email, printed materials, packaging, in-venue and football building displays.
• Assist in the strategy and planning of content for Illinois football social media platforms.
• Assist in the design of graphics needed for marketing and ticket sales promotion through email and social media.
• Design graphics used in the Smith Football Performance Center.
Other – • Shoot or edit photos/video during Illinois football games (home and away), practices, strength training sessions and other events.
• Recruit and manage student interns to assist in photography and graphic design.

o Experience in the full Adobe Creative Suite.
o Strong knowledge of the print process and layout skills, and the ability to work in many styles.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred: o Experience with NCAA Division I-A or NFL programs preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required • Knowledge of web trends and digital technologies.
• Interest in photography, typography and color instincts.
• Must work well in a collaborative, team environment.
• Must possess a broad understanding and passion for innovative design-preferably within athletics.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate project calendars and updates to the Executive Director of Recruiting/Personnel, Director of Recruiting and Director of Branding.
• Must be detail oriented, and a self-motivator who can generate ideas for both independent and collaborative projects.
• Must be able to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines • Must be willing to provide a portfolio.

Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis.
The expected start date is as soon as possible after 4/1/2024.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
