Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Communications & Events Coordinator (CEC) shares regular stories of impact from weDignify through print and online media such as social media, email, and more, to move students, supporters, and more to further weDignify's mission.
The CEC creates and maintains a broad-scale relationship with the public that is reflective of weDignify's transformative individual relationships.
This position bridges the relationship between students, supporters, and the pro-life movement.
Successful communication moves people to not just to be pro-life, but to live it.
To do so, this role creates engaging and educational communication that moves people to effective and life affirming actions.
Core Job Functions:
- Provides clear, consistent, and effective articulation of weDignify's mission, vision, and brand.
- Implements a communications strategy that advances weDignify's strategic priorities to further both mission and development systems and thereby furthering weDignify's programs and position with students and in the Midwest.
- Implement Events Strategy in 4 events per year, providing event planning and support.
- Creates automation systems to advance the communications strategy
- Reports to the Executive Director
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs marketing, recruitment, and relationship-development functions through either the creation of or project management of digital and print content
- Manages of social media accounts (including educational content and event promotion), website, and email communications aligned with the Communications strategy.
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience: An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- In line with the mission and vision of weDignify
- Required: Bachelor's degree, preferred in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Preferred: Some experience in communications
- Preferred: Experience in not-for profit, mission driven institutions

- Preferred: familiarity with a 1 on 1 mentoring and small group educational models
Job Particulars:
- Start Date: May 2024
- Position: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)
- Location: Champaign, IL, will consider remote work if able to travel to Champaign, IL on a monthly basis
- Schedule: Flexible, but must be available during business hours (9am-5pm Central) at least 2 days / week
Pay and Benefits: Salaried, c ommensurate with experience
