Job Title: Commercial Insurance Sales Executive
Department: Commercial- Bloomington
Reports To: Managing Director

General Summary:
Account Sales Executives are responsible for the solicitation and sales of new business, as well as maintaining high levels of retention on existing business.
Essential Functions:
Establish relationships and generate new business opportunities with prospective business clients through personal network, community & industry specific networking events, cold calls (phone, mail/email & drop-ins), and referrals.
Develop appropriate insurance programs to meet exposure and needs of prospects and clients.
Determine prospect and client needs through fact-finding opportunities.
Work with insurance company partners to obtain best coverage and pricing on behalf of prospects and clients
Present and sell insurance solutions to prospects and clients
Maintain and expand relationships with clients and insurance company partners

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Successful business to business sales experience
Strong work ethic and desire to succeed
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
Ability to learn, comprehend and explain moderately complex concepts
Qualification Standards
Communication:
Strong communication skills.
Skills should include the ability to deal effectively with vastly diverse groups of people and clients.
Education:
Preferred: College Degree in Sales or Business
Computer Skills:
Required: Knowledge of Microsoft Products.
Must have the ability to learn and effectively utilize a variety of general as well as insurance specific technology tools
Experience:
Required: Previous outside Business Sales experience
Preferred: Previous commercial insurance sales experience and/or commercial insurance product knowledge
Licenses or Certificates:
Required: Must hold an Illinois Property and Casualty Producer License or be able to acquire within 60 days of employment.
Physical Requirements
Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
Manual dexterity of hands in order to manipulate keyboard and office equipment
Ability to see within normal parameters
Ability to hear within normal range
