Hawkeye Hotels is currently seeking a talented General Manager for the Residence Inn by Marriott Champaign
The General Manager oversees all operations, including but not limited to, rooms, food & beverage, sales, marketing, maintenance, reservations and owner relations.
The General Manager develops strategy and execution tactics for the property including revenue generation, financial performance, growth and development, recruitment and staff development.
This position requires effective leadership skills to build and reward a service culture.
The GM is responsible for the full implementation and consistency of Hawkeye Hotels’ standards and company expectations, brand standards, and industry rating for the property.
Required Skills & Abilities:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager
* Located locally is highly desired.
* Marriott experience is highly desired.
* Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Can communicate well with guests.
* Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
* Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, and long-range planning.
* Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.
