Are you interested in a flexible living situation, gardening, good food, and community involvement? Do you also like working with other people to create an efficient, supportive and low cost-of-living environment? A co-op may be a good fit for you! :)
This house--Randolph House--is a 9-bedroom, 5-bathroom house in Downtown Champaign.
We are a newer house in the local coop community, and we are looking for a few more people to round out our community.
We are also in community with other local coops Harvest House and Brooks House.
Membership is open to anyone! We especially encourage people who are looking for a longer-term community experience to apply.
Rooms are available now (March 2024), as well as for this summer and the upcoming Fall.

Co-ops have all the perks of home ownership (you can paint your room! you can build a shelf!), but without the financial liability.
In exchange, housemates work together to manage house finances, shopping, cooking, and general upkeep of the house.
Members sign up to cook dinner for each other 7 nights a week, and work together to clean the house on a weekly basis.
Expected time contribution is 5-6 hours a week, including cooking, cleaning, and a house meeting.
Scheduling is flexible but we do expect you to work with us and communicate directly so we can keep the house clean, safe and meet everyone's needs!
This house is managed by COUCH ( https://couchcooperative.
org/ ), a local member-run cooperative nonprofit providing affordable, accessible housing to the residents of Champaign-Urbana.
As a resident, you would have the opportunity to join the COUCH board, help manage leases and other legal responsibilities, and support the houses by organizing training and social events.
