Your work here will develop your product knowledge so that you have a high level of expertise as a course of your work activities.
To prepare, display and promote seafood items.
Emphasis in this position is to consistently service customers, prepare and display, and promote seafood products for maximum daily sales.
Responsibilities include break down of and sanitation of department.
This position is responsible to the Meat Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Promotes Max Customer Care 100% of the time Always make eye contact and speak first to every customer Correctly prepares every request with correct quality, quantity, variety and prices.
Always suggestive sell Maintains NFI Sanitation and refrigeration standards Prepares and displays product Maintains detailed records on product and freshness.
Maintains ordering and receiving standards by communication and follow through with Department Manager Performs opening and closing procedures to NFI standards with respect to sanitation, display and handling responsibilities.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT Slip resistant shoes, Hairnets/Hats, Safety Cutter CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Safety Training, Hazardous Communication Training, Country of Origin Labeling Training (COOL), Food Sanitation Certificate, Blood Borne Pathogen Training, Lockout/Tagout Training SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly manages Associates in the Seafood Department.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this category.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates.
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
