Looking to rehome our pet to a loving family.
Ellie Mae is a spayed 4 year old black lab, Australian cattle dog mix.
She is completely house broken, she knows commands: sit, come, stay, down, and crate.
She loves to play fetch and tug of war with her rope.
During the day she enjoys entertaining herself with a sturdy toy, watching out of the window for squirrels, and sleeping.
Her challenges are jumping when excited, she is talkative and nervous of new people.
She warms up to strangers quickly, she just needs time to “check them out”.
She’ll bark at people/animals that pass by the window.
She likes to dig in the garbage if she can.
She walks on the back of couch like a cat and has claimed a cushion as her bed.
Overall, she is a well behaved dog and no behaviors are excessive.
The barking is probably the most challenging due to apartment living.
She was well socialized as a puppy, and is so gentle with our children.
She has never been around cats.
We have reconciled rehoming is our only option.
As apartment dwellers we cannot meet her energy needs, financially we can’t prioritize her veterinary care, among other reasons.
She would come with the rest of her dog food, it’s serving container, her bowls, crate, and toys.
She is due for vaccines.
Otherwise her vetrinary care is up to date.
