Job Title: Estimator
Location: CU Hardware, Urbana, IL
Job Summary:
CU Hardware is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at our warehouse in Urbana, IL.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse estimating and bidding plus be able to accurately assess the cost of projects and materials.
Responsibilities:
Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
Collaborate with logistic coordinator and manager to ensure accurate and timely estimates
Track and analyze project costs to ensure they stay within budget
Communicate with clients and vendors to obtain pricing and other information needed for estimates
Prepare and submit bids and proposals for projects
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse estimating
Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software

Physical Requirements:
This role operates in a warehouse environment and needs to be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, climb, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
