Piatt County Nursing Home a100-bed skilled nursing facility in Monticello, Il, is currently seeking Unit Assistants.
We offer our Unit Assistants the opportunity to take part in a CNA program and pay for your class to advance your career.
The Unit Assistant:
* Provide assistance to the C.
N.
A.
’s – no resident weight bearing
* Answer call lights
* Assist residents in wheelchairs to and from dining rooms
* Help in dining rooms (pass drinks, take orders, deliver meals)
* Take meal orders and deliver meals to residents who choose to eat in their room
* Make beds
* Pass ice water and snacks to residents without modified diets
* Be sure resident rooms are neat and tidy (clean night-stands and bedside tables, empty trash, etc.
)
* Ensure that personal items are changed out as necessary
* Ensure that all personal items are labeled, bagged, and in nightstand
* Ensure rooms and shower rooms are fully stocked (gloves, personal hygiene items, etc.
)
* Follow facility policies to ensure resident safety at all times
* Wheelchair cleaning
* UA will perform NO direct patient care, i.
e.
, lifting, transferring, incontinent care or feeding
* Take part in In-service training
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor
