_*Necessary Skills:*_ * Ability to speak well and engage professionally and personally with patients from all age groups.
* Must be comfortable with learning various types of technology, using the internet, websites, and electronic health records systems.
* Ability to multi-task and make quick decisions based on available information.
* Embrace a fast-paced environment and work efficiently.
* Show a strong willingness to help in any area of the clinic and learn new things.
_*Primary Duties:*_ * Greet all patients upon entering the building * Quickly build rapport with patients and start their experience positively * Gather and accurately input all patient information into EHR * Work with insurance benefits and filing claims * Keep patient information secure and follow all HIPAA laws * Gathering all pertinent information for the doctor including but not limited to blood pressure, height, weight, medications/medical conditions, and doing any additional testing that the doctor requires in order to provide the best care possible * Operate all standard and special testing equipment * Sell and dispense glasses and contact lenses * Make sure that every pair of eyewear that we provide is checked and meets the standards before it is dispensed to the patient * Ensure that all of our patients’ eye-wear needs are met and all of their concerns addressed.
* Make sure that our patients are educated on the products that will meet their specific eyewear needs so that they can make the best decisions to fit their lifestyle and budget _*Other Requirements:*_ * Medical office reception experience desired but willing to train the right candidate * Must be able to work 7:30am-5:30pm Monday through Friday & 8:00am-12:30pm up to two Saturdays/month working no more than 8 hours a day * Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time * Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, stand and walk for extended periods of time, and to help patients in and out of chairs regularly _*Other information:*_ * Employer assistance with health insurance * Free Vision benefits * Employer matched 401K after 1 year of employment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.
