*Del’s Popcorn Shop* *Job Description * *General Manager* *1/19/24* *Overview:* * The General Manager (“GM”) is responsible for leading all aspects of the Del’s Popcorn Shop store operations and brand representation in their respective markets.
* Responsible for in-store production, fulfill through internal fulfillment and supply chain with local vendors including processing orders and coordinating AR/AP with the accounting department * Hiring and training the local store team and hiring appropriate assistant managers, shift leaders, and team members to ensure a best-in-class workforce * Managing staffing and scheduling based on local demand and seasonal traffic patterns * Maintaining Del’s Popcorn Shop Brand Standards in accordance with company policies * Making customer service a top priority while developing a forward-looking sales strategy * Leading employees by setting professional examples and setting a swift pace.
* Managing operations to a set financial budget with operational goals * Establishing local marketing budgets and driving in-store traffic through community engagement * Leading store operations to maximize the Del’s Popcorn Shop shopping experience.
* Training, coaching, and encouraging associates to help them achieve Del’s Popcorn Shop customer service standards.
* Managing human resources, annual reviews, and administering corporate incentive plans.
*General Manager will remain customer focused at all times by:* * Greeting customers promptly as they enter the shop and present oneself as a community leader * Engaging customers frequently during their visit to provide a friendly and fun Del’s Popcorn Shop experience.
* Creating fun, exciting, and visually appealing gift items and merchandise displays.
* Exercising superior salesmanship to meet customers’ needs.
* Providing fast and efficient service.
* Making customers and their service your top priority.
* Making product quality and freshness another top priority.
* Thanking customers for shopping with Del’s Popcorn Shop and letting them know we really appreciate their business.
* Learning to answer customers’ questions and address their concerns, complaints, and suggestions.
* Answering the phone only after employees are proficient at answering customers' questions.
* Offering suggestions and prompting all the unique services Del’s Popcorn Shop has to offer (such as delivery, shipping, website shopping, special orders, and requests).
* Striving to surprise and delight each and every guest in some way.
* Coordinating social media posts with the marketing team *General Manager will always show concern for shop appearance by:* * Abiding by Del’s Popcorn Shop uniform requirements and personal hygiene standards.
* Keeping the food display cases, food preparation area, and service areas clean and shiny.
* Keeping the displays stocked and neat.
* Performing closing and cleaning activities as directed.
*General Manager will:* * Work according to a weekly schedule and be paid biweekly.
* Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”).
* Accurately record the time and attendance of their store on a weekly time sheet.
* Remain flexible and cooperative with scheduling including being available for evenings, weekends, holidays, special events, and call-in shift coverage when needed.
* Attending weekly management meetings and manage to annual budget.
* Keep a high attention to detail and document all critical processes * Develop proactive plans for marketing, events, and local advertising * Work across stores and fulfillment centers to assist with best practices * Maintain Health Department and other food safety standards * Track and monitor opening, closing, and seasonal checklists * Keep a safe and enjoyable work environment for all team members *General Manager must be able to:* * Stand without discomfort for 9 hours with intermittent breaks.
* Use both hands with dexterity.
* Lift up to 50 pounds without discomfort.
* Use stairs.
This position requires a motivated individual who can step into a leadership role within Del’s Popcorn Shop and the community.
