We are currently seeking an experienced Food Services Director to provide leadership and oversee all aspects of our food services department.
The Food Services Director organizes, plans, directs, controls, and supervises functions and personnel within the dietary department which provides food and nutrition services.
The Food Services Director ensures the provision of quality food service and nutritional care.
*Summary of Responsibilities of the Food Services Director - FSD *
* Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department
* Ensure quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis
* Ensure the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
* Manage the requisitions and inspection of food, supplies, and equipment, maintain stock levels
* Ensure standards of quality are met while achieving the department budgetary, recruiting, training, supervising
*Qualifications for Food Services Director – FSD*
· Food Service supervisor experience required; at least three years’ experience in long term care preferred
· Must hold or acquire Certifications as a Dietary Manager (CDM); an Associate degree in Food Service Management or Nutrition (DT or DTR); or a 4-year degree in Nutrition or similar area.
* Must be able to relate professionally and positively to our residents, families and staff and to work cooperatively with others
