PUBLIC DEFENDER’S OFFICE
The Champaign County Public Defender’s Office is seeking a Certified Paralegal.
Job responsibilities include assisting attorneys by providing clerical research support services such as document preparation and review, interviewing clients and witnesses, legal research and writing, and trial preparation.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with Paralegal Certification and be familiar with basic computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
The Office provides on-site and ongoing training and encourages a work-life balance.
The minimum salary is $19.
80-29.
69 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a non-bargaining position and offers benefits such as health insurance, retirement (IMRF), and paid time off.
