Moving to Champaign, looking for friends/activities (Champaign)

I'm a 34 y/o Male moving to Champaign from Central Missouri where I've lived my entire life.
I won't be moving until towards the end of January/beginning of February.
A little about myself: Outgoing.
Sports fanatic, anything and everything sports or competition.
(MIZ!-ZOU!) I enjoy going out for a drink every now and then.
Concerts/shows/sporting events.
Hobbies: Football Playing video games Disc Golf Shooting pool Spending time with my 2 dogs (pits) Watching TV If anyone has any Facebook group suggestions that could help me find out more about the community it would be greatly appreciated.
I guess what I'm looking for is to find some people who could eventually become friends/acquaintances and people who can help my transition go a little smoother.
