It is not an OEM Apple and is an aftermarket brand but it's almost new and has had very limited use.
Currently have MacOS Big Sur installed on it.
You can install Ventura or Sonoma if you use the OpenCore patcher software.
Also, I have had several versions of Linux on it including Debian, Fedora, and Linux Mint.
They all work great.
