Program Coordinator - Big Ten Academic Alliance
The Big Ten Academic Alliance, the consortium of the Big Ten universities, is seeking up to two Program Coordinators to join its Champaign-based Programs Team.
Program Coordinators work under the direction of Assistant and Associate Directors to support the strategic collaborative initiatives of academic and administrative leaders from across the Big Ten.
These leaders include deans and senior level university administrators responsible for areas such as graduate education, liberal arts and sciences, information technology, leadership development, and globalization of higher education.

Duties & Responsibilities: Administer & Manage Collaborative Programs: Provide daily operational support to established collaborative programs, managing workflow, stakeholder relationships, and communications with a diverse group of staff, faculty, and students from across the Big Ten universities.
Support in-person and virtual meetings and events using a variety of information technology tools and software applications.
Assist with program evaluations, measuring outcomes, and producing reports.
Research, write, design, layout, and edit special reports for diverse audiences, using multi-media as appropriate.
Facilitate & Steward Collaborative Communities: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, students and faculty from member universities and members of the public.
Foster collaboration and trust networks within and among professional peer communities.
Leverage cloud-based technologies, database and spreadsheet applications, and other collaborative tools to facilitate institutional benchmarking, information sharing, and consortial collaborations.
Provide excellent customer service to member institutions, program liaisons and participants and work collegially and professionally with all external and internal stakeholders.
Travel to member universities and other locations.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree.
A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience with collaborative projects, programs and/or large events.
Demonstrated experience with software applications, databases, and information technology tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree.
Minimum of two years’ experience with collaborative projects, programs and/or large events.
Experience working with new and custom technology, large databases and visualization software.
Related higher education work experience.

Attention to Detail: Thoroughly accomplish tasks with concern for all involved areas.

Appointment Information: This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis.
The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close of the search.
Minimum salary for this position is $50,000.
