Survey Coordinator and Analyst - The Career Center Job Summary Instrumental in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting campus-wide immediate post-graduation outcomes of Illinois graduates for the Illini Success initiative (https://illinisuccess.
illinois.
edu/).
Coordinate administrative functions and communication efforts related to the initiative, which requires collaboration with staff from several other campus units.
The position reports to the Associate Director for Professional Connections and Assessment at The Career Center, who provides day-to-day leadership of the Illini Success initiative.
Duties & Responsibilities Survey Coordination and Communication (50%) - Coordinate survey project timelines and workflow for the Illini Success core team - Support survey administration by collaborating and coordinating with academic departments, and other campus units to ensure efficient data collection - Gather secondary data from various sources, such as National Student Clearinghouse, college partners, employer reports, and LinkedIn - Coordinate collection of qualitative data for student success narratives - Manage process to incentivize survey completion - Monitor email account and serve as initial point of contact for project - Update content on the Illini Success website - Participate in relevant campus committees, such as the Assessment and Institutional Survey Committee Data Management (25%) - Filter and clean raw data and coordinate support from campus partners who assist with data cleaning - Integrate datasets, combining survey data and secondary-source data following prescribed procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality data is retained - Collaborate with campus partners to provide appropriate access to data and ensure faculty/staff data portal is updated annually - Aid in updating and maintaining policies and guidelines for data protection and privacy - Contribute to training and resources related to appropriate use of the data - Ensure data is gathered, stored, and used in an ethical, confidential, and secure manner Data Analysis and Reporting (25%) - Create and maintain automated statistical reports - Review reports for accuracy before publication, with a high-level of attention to detail - Coordinate distribution and publication of data in alignment with NACE and NCES data standards - Develop custom reports tailored to the needs of specific campus stakeholders, as well as national reporting bodies Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree.
- One (1) year of work experience in data cleaning and the application and interpretation of statistical analyses (e.
g.
descriptive, inferential, and variance analysis).
- Demonstrated experience with statistical programs, such as SAS, SPSS, Excel, R, or other programs that can perform statistical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications - Master’s Degree in assessment, tests and measurement, statistics, data science, higher education or related field, or commensurate experience.
- Experience designing or conducting surveys and reporting resultant data, preferably related to college graduate outcomes or higher education.
- Knowledge of and experience in survey methods, managing interviews, and other techniques for gathering quantitative and qualitative data.
- Experience with data visualization programs like Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with written and oral communication in higher education settings.
- Experience working with sensitive data.
- Experience with or knowledge of college student engagement, including the relationship between learning environments and college outcomes.

The expected start date is as soon as possible after 3/17/2024.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
The salary range for this position starts at $60,000.
