The role of the Site Coordinator is a managerial type position responsible for organizing people, program activities, and data.
This role leads daily management of staff performance and facility safety, implementation of high quality programming, and accuracy of program outcome data.
In addition, the Site Coordinator provides operational support to the Program Director to ensure overall success and growth of the Dream Big! Program.
In addition, the Site Coordinator is responsible for building sustainable collaborative relationships with not only the DREAAMers, but also with families, schools, community partners, and funding agencies.
Therefore, it is mandatory to have a dedicated professional presence at all times with a diligent focus on DREAAMers, families, staff, and volunteers.
The Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Dream Big! Program is fun, safe, enriching, productive, and amazing by actively managing staff, resources, and the facility.
Programming Specifics
This is a 10-month position that requires staff to prepare beforehand and execute enrichment programs with excellence.
Most of the programming takes place Monday through Friday and program activities start in October 2023 and end in July 2024.
Occasionally, DREAAM will host outreach activities for the community and DREAAM families.
These activities are planned in advance and staff participation is expected.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Essential Responsibilities:
Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of out-of-school educational and enrichment programs, including STEM, the arts, and social emotional learning
Develop, supervise, and evaluate Achievement Coaches and volunteers
Develop, implement, and evaluate parent/family that will provide additional opportunities for parents to develop skills and become regularly involved in the program
Communicate with parents/caregivers, school staff, and Program Director about student progress
Publish a monthly program newsletter and calendar of events at least one week prior to the start of the subsequent month
Maintain accurate records and assist in the completion of program data collection, data reporting, and program evaluation as required by DREAAM and grant funders
Ensure the program space is welcoming with positive engagement in person, by phone and email correspondence
Develop and conduct surveys of student, parents, and staff regarding ideas for and satisfaction with out-of-school programming
Administrative Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct daily staff meetings to encourage staff engagement, to distribute information, and review daily schedules and plans
Maintain inventory of all supplies and snacks by checking stock to determine supply and restocking needs
Maintain program equipment with preventive maintenance and monitoring equipment operation
Regular oversight of accurate staff timesheets, corrections and approvals
Update job knowledge by participating in professional development
Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Work closely with the Program Director or Program Manager to ensure transportation services are coordinated and arranged in a timely manner
Participate, as needed, in the screening, hiring, orientation, and training process for program staff
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree or equivalent experience
A minimum of two to three years of professional experience in a youth development setting, planning and supervising direct service activities, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated ability in staff supervision and outcome-driven program planning.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong leadership abilities.

Evidence of cultural competence when working in African American communities
Ability to deal effectively with children across ages, including a working knowledge of positive behavior support and trauma-informed care
