Adult Education Part-time GED Faculty - District Sites

Parkland College is currently seeking Part-Time Faculty to teach GED classes in the Rantoul and Tuscola district sites.
PT Faculty teach part-time, advise and mentor students.
Hiring needs are dependent on student enrollment and course schedules.
Salary is dependent on qualifications.

Essential Job Functions
Teach level appropriate reading, writing, math, and technology to adults
Ensure that instruction is of adequate rigor to support student ability to advance
Create and develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and individual learning plans aligned to appropriate Illinois Content Standards
Design instructional activities, select materials, and organize small group, whole group, or independent instruction
Establish instructional routine and classroom management policies.
Integrate technology and digital literacy into instruction
Monitor and assess student progress on a regular basis
Collect, record and report student information required for grant reporting
Complete all required student documentation forms.
Complete annual professional development requirements set forth by the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field is required.
Excellent communication skills and have the ability to work with diverse populations.
Experience working with adult learners.
Experience managing multiple, interfacing systems is preferred.
Firm commitment to professional development and self-growth
Must successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting.
