POSITION SUMMARY
Develop and maintain process documentation for the manufacture of electronic assemblies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Read and interpret customer documentation (specifications, prints, assembly documents, bills of materials) for the purpose of determining customer-specified requirements and translate manufacturing instructions that result in repeatable quality workmanship and products that meet or exceed customer requirements.
Have practical knowledge of the most current IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assembly Standards for the appropriate application in to the creation of manufacturing instructions Utilize the Aegis Manufacturing Execution System to create, maintain, inspect/check and deploy manufacturing instructions, process routes, bills of material and other relevant documented information.
Determine and apply standard manufacturing methods for employment and usage into the manufacturing instructions.
Utilize MRP/ERP Software to create and maintain master product routers to specify batch size, product process flow, exit rates, setup times and other pertinent labor requirements.
Review, analyze and implement engineering change notice documentation for customer requirement changes impacting fit, form or function.
Work with Process Analysts to determine and implement updates for improvement or correction activities to manufacturing instructions.
Ability to fill out and implement process change request documentation for improvement or correction to manufacturing instructions.
Create new product introduction reviews and documentation and provide feedback on issues that arise and/or communicate with sales and engineering if any requirements are unclear.
Create documentation and packets for new product introductions and prototype assemblies.
Validate standard exit rates (Master Product Router) determined by labor quoting during first red packet or prototype run (initial build.
) Create supporting documentation as needed for manufacturing such as rework assembly instructions, quality alerts and deviations.
Create and modify labor quote sheets to support sales in generating pricing approvals for new business, repricing or improvement activities.
Utilize the Synergy workflow system to create, manage, implement, delegate department general tasks including but not limited to ECNs, PCRs, administrative changes, engineering tasks and document reviews.
Maintain engineering changes, time studies and implementation of corrective actions into manufacturing instructions.
Demonstrate a commitment to creating a continuous improvement culture and involvement in lean activities and implementing lessons learned into procedures, standards and new documentation.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Associate in Science (AS) or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or high school diploma (GED) plus relevant work experience approved by hiring manager.
Previous experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk, Solid Works or other design software preferred.
High level of computer knowledge/experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and the ability to adapt to other programs used for this position.
POSITION COMPETENCIES Ability to comply with safety and regulatory requirements (wearing and maintaining PPE and ESD gear).
Must be able to perform basic math computations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and apply simple statistical calculations (average, min, max, median).
Ability use, read/interpret and compute results of measurement devices (rulers, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, feeler gauges).
Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T desirable.
Must be able to understand how to read and interpret process flow charts and the sequence and interactions of processes.
Must be able to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to positions and employment.
Must have and demonstrate a strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to see problem areas arise in manufacturing and be able to communicate these problems to the supervisor(s) and/or process analysts either verbally or in writing.
Must apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work in an open office environment with frequent background noise and frequent interruptions and internal customer interaction.
Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and requests from our customers.
