* *Reports To: Program Director* *Hours: Monday – Friday, plus some nights and weekends may be required for scheduled meetings and events.
* *Purpose of Position:* *The Boys and Girls Club of Decatur is looking for fun part-time Athletic Assistant l at our site for an exciting school year! We rely on the dedication of caring employees to provide a safe, nurturing environment for kids to learn and grow.
Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, you will lead program areas providing young people with a fun, safe place to foster academic success, good character and leadership, and healthy lifestyles.
We are looking for someone who is upbeat, likes working with kids, and is ready to participate in all of our activities.
* Duties & Responsibilities: * Supervision of a group of children.
* Ensure programs, services and activities that prepare youth for success, promote safety of members.
and quality in programs at all times.
* Be able to work with a team as a cohesive unit.
* Be a mentor for the members (not a teacher and not a friend).
* Be able to be flexible and creative in regards to program planning.
