Childcare Cook/Assistant Teacher
This position is Monday-Friday 7:30am-2:00pm.
Duties:
- Complete meal preparation for three classrooms, following dietary guidelines and food safety protocols.
This will involve cooking meals, preparing classroom trays, and kitchen cleanup after each meal.
There are three meals daily: Cold breakfast, Hot lunch, Cold Snack.
- In between meal preparation, duties will include assisting in classrooms.
- Help implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate and engage children
- Change diapers and assist with toilet training as needed.
Provide classroom assistance and supervision during nap time.
- Provide basic first aid and comfort to children when necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation for children of different ages
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines and practices
- Ability to handle and use kitchen tools such as knives safely
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations
