Toddler Time Instructor
Position: Part-time, hourly, [6hours/week]
Reports to: Director of Ministry
Supervision: Volunteers
Job Summary: Direct and supervise of children’s playtime using Christian principle.

* Experience, certificate, degree or working toward a degree in early childhood development
* Experience or skill in organizing a structured children’s playtime with some lessons interspersed
* Ability to create an interactive play area for positive learning of toddlers
* Able to work with volunteers in a Christian setting
Responsibilities: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
)
* Create a Christian based playtime for toddlers
* Create a room for positive learning as children play together
* Set up and cleanup of the toddler time room.
* Work with volunteers
* Good communications with parents and church staff, including occasional newsletter article.
Details:
* Toddler time is a ministry of Mahomet United Methodist church.
The Instructor and all volunteers must complete Safe Sanctuary training and follow those guidelines.
Toddler time will begin with a 2 day a week schedule, Tuesday and Thursday 9-11 a.
m.
The Instructor position will be paid for 2 additional hours to prepare the room, clean up afterwards and plan for upcoming session.
This position begins January, 2024.

Pay: $13.
00 - $15.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 per week
Schedule:
* No nights
* No weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Mahomet, IL 61853: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Since this is only 2 days a week, are you able to be here on time for your shift each day? Are you able to be prepared with structured activities for the children each day?
* If you are not able to make it to work at any given time, will you be able to provide "lessons" or activities that you were going to do with the children so that we can just step in and not have to "wing" it?
Education:
* High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
* Early childhood education: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
* CPR Certification (Preferred)
