com Role Description This is a full-time on-site (or possibly hybrid) role for a Senior Cost Accountant role based in Champaign, IL.
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial data and cost of goods sold, creating financial statements, maintaining accurate inventory records, and preparing journal entries.
The Cost Accountant will also support the development and implementation of financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications Expertise in Cost Accounting and Financial Statements Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret financial data Experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and Finance Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Certification in Cost Accounting or relevant field is preferred Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry is a plus
