Bookkeeper

*About us* La Bamba Mexican Restaurant is a small business in Champaign, IL.
We are agile and our goal is to find a bookkeeper to manage all our finances.
Your responsibilities will include tracking our organization’s revenue, expenses, and taxes, as well as producing financial reports.
You will also be responsible for auditing our books to ensure our records are correct.

Our work environment includes: * Modern office setting * Food provided * Modern office setting * Food provided *Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities:* * Experience in Quickbooks a MUST * Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
* Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
* Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
* Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
* Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
* Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
* Maintain historical records by filing documents.
* Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
* Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $25.
